چکیده
Virtual synchronous generators (VSG) are considered a new generation of grid-friendly inverters with the same inertial support characteristics as (SG). However, inertia comes side effects power and frequency response deterioration. The existing VSG oscillation suppression methods have limitations such complex controller parameter tuning, altering characteristics, quality degradation. To address these issues, this paper proposes universal control strategy based on extended virtual (VSG-EVI). Herein, is no longer constant or varying number; it endowed domain to improve transient responses. Moreover, detailed design process given in detail. Compared conventional (CVSG), VSG-EVI significantly suppress oscillations. methods, addresses issues reduction capability, whereas parametric simplified proposed intuitive inertia. Finally, method thoroughly validated by experiments under both grid-connected stand-alone modes.

Doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) based wind turbines with traditional maximum power point tracking (MPPT) control provide no inertia response under system frequency events. Recently, the DFIG wind turbines have been equipped with virtual inertia controller (VIC) for supporting power system frequency stability. However, the conventional VICs with fixed gain have negative effects on inter-ar...

Ideally, diesel hybrid autonomous power systems would operate with high penetration of renewable energy sources such as wind and photovoltaic to minimize fuel consumption. However, since these are inherently intermittent and fluctuating, the grid-forming diesel engine generator sets are usually required to operate with larger amounts of spinning reserve, often at low loading conditions what ten...
متن کاملDesigning a new robust control for virtual inertia control in the microgrid with regard to virtual damping
Background and Objectives: Virtual inertia control, as a component of a virtual synchronous generator, is used for the implementation of synchronous generator behaviour in microgrids. In microgrids that include high-capacity distributed generation resources, in addition to virtual inertia, virtual damping can also lead to improvement of frequency stability of the microgrid. The purpose of the c...
